Regional Sales Manager
Position Function
Safefreight Technology is a leading edge developer and provider of driver behaviour, multi-bus engine diagnostics and security-oriented telematic solutions having being named the Official Mobile Security Supplier to the Indy Racing League. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proven, dynamic sales professional with fresh ideas and boundless imagination to grow our market share. The candidate selected for this position will play a significant and strategic role in the company’s aggressive growth plan and will have an opportunity for advancement within the organization, upon proven results. You’ll be calling upon companies in the energy, transportation and construction sectors across North America as well as managing and supporting channel partners, selling our security and fleet management technology and services. Required Experience and Skills
- 5-8 years experience in transportation, wireless or IT industry (ideally in logistics, wireless or telematics products).
- Broad knowledge of data technology, data transport, associated professional services and how to sell them.
- Proven track record of solution-based selling, ROI driven sales methods and techniques and target revenue attainment.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office and Internet.
- Experienced in global roll out of new product lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively prospects, qualifies and builds new business
- Able to find, qualify and develop large sales opportunities in a variety of companies and industriesas to the suitability of a Safefreight solution, the resources required to win, high probability ofclosing, and profitability to Safefreight;
- Will be required to drive business solutions around customer business objectives by demonstrating quantifiable value propositions of Safefreight solutions;
- Determines client business, operational and technical requirements and associated motivational plan;
- Identifies appropriate solution options and corresponding value proposition and ROI;
- Estimates project scope, timelines and costs of client assignment;
- Oversees all elements of Safefreight’s proposals from start to finish; co-ordinates with Safefreight technical and marketing staff to craft and review proposals and RFP’s;
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations and pilots at customer sites;
- Serves as the customer advocate throughout solution design, development (including definition of user acceptance criteria) and test phases to ensure delivered solution meets customer objectives;
- Successfully sets objectives and priorities to drive critical customer decision-making and closure;
- Knows and understands the competitive landscape and how to differentiate and position Safefreight.
Develops plans to achieve revenue and margin goals
- Prepare sales forecasts, weekly activity reports, expense reports, monthly travel schedule,other reports required to illustrate business activity;
- Manages pipeline over quarters.
Maintains growth of exsisting accounts
- Effectively oversees management of installed accounts at all levels;
- Establishes and maintains personal relationships with senior executives (Presidents, GM’s, VP’s) by being perceived as a valued business partner by prospecting and driving campaigns a the senior executive level;
- Identifies and develops future sales opportunities with current clients;
- Must maintain customer management database (Salesforce.com)

WORKING CONDITION
Individuals in this position work in typical office conditions, and include, but limited to, the following physical and mental demands.

The successful candidate must be able to provide a documented history of his/her success in previous sales roles. Relocation expenses will not be reimbursed.
